The countdown to the prestigious Miss World South Africa, which will take place in Sun City on October 5, promises a memorable evening celebrating incredible women who embody beauty with purpose.

As the eagerly-awaited event draws near, all eyes are on the top 10 finalists, which include Jesmika Singh, Ximiyeto Makhubele, Nande Mabala, Lynique Odendaal, Tshiamo Setlhare, Neo Nkhumane, Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg, Amber Marais, and Thembelihle Mnguni, as they contend for the coveted title.

In recent news, it was announced that Idols SA host and Metro FM on-air personality, Tebogo ‘ProVerb’ Thekisho, will be hosting the event.

Sharing the exciting news on social media, he said: “Honoured, humbled, and beyond excited to officially announce that I will be your host for Miss World South Africa 2024. This journey celebrates the power, grace, and resilience of incredible women who embody beauty with purpose. To stand on this stage is a privilege, and I can't wait to witness the crowning of our next queen.”

Other personalities revealed as co-hosts are Miss World Botswana Lesego Chombo, Miss World Africa and Miss World South Africa Dr Claude Mashego, and the Mahotella Queens.

Adding more thrill to the night are former Boom Shaka founder Theo Nhlengethwa; singer, songwriter, and performer Mthandazo Gatya; television and radio personality Sechaba Gqeba; professional voice actor Weza Matomane; and Aubrey Ngcungama, co-founder of a platform connecting black African wine enthusiasts.

Matomane also spoke about being part of the event, highlighting that he could not wait to bring every moment to life and share this experience with his fans.

This is such a milestone in my voice-over journey, and I’m truly honoured to lend my voice to an event that celebrates beauty, intelligence, and empowerment. Carol Bouwer, the license holder of Miss World South Africa and President of Miss World South Africa Organisation, added: “I am excited about the second edition of Miss World South Africa, which will be held in Sun City. The finalists are just sublime, and we wish them all success, as we know they are primed to be successful leaders of the future.”
