According to Val de View Estate’s website, the founder, CEO, Martin Venter flew over the Paarl-Franschhoek and saw that it was the perfect location for his family.

The name, Val de Vie Estate, derives from the French words, “Valley of life”.

The Estate was started by Abraham Andries le Roux in 1783 and had been a wine farm.
