KAIZER Chiefs have remained mum on a new signing, which relegated Cape Town Spurs declared on social media yesterday.
Spurs confirmed the club reached an agreement with Chiefs for the transfer of defender Rushwin Dortley. The 22-year-old left-footed centre-back had been in the transfer sights of SuperSport United too, but the player has inked a deal with Chiefs. Dortley was part of the Bafana Bafana squad at the recent Cosafa Cup hosted in Gqeberha
It might have been a case of “lose one, win one” for SuperSport, who snapped up the sought-after Orlando Pirates match-winner Vincent Pule. SuperSport broke the news with a social media post that read: “He’s a Spartan! Welcome home, Vincent!”
The 32-year-old Pule links up with former coach Gavin Hunt, who he previously worked under at Bidvest Wits. He arrives as the club continues their bid to add some much-needed experience to their young squad.
During his six years with the Buccaneers, Pule scored 24 goals and provided 14 assists in 146 games across all competitions.
Pule will join SuperSport’s squad for their pre-season in Botswana, where they are competing in the Moyagoleele Pre-season Tournament.
Mamelodi Sundowns have announced the signing of Brazilian striker Arthur de Oliveira Sales from the Belgium First Division B Club Lommel SK. The 22-year-old signed as a free agent after his contract was terminated by Lommel.
Sundowns broke the news via social media with a greeting: “Brazilian Centre-Forward Arthur de Oliveira Sales has joined the Champions!”
Sales is expected to compete with striker Peter Shalulile for a starting berth as the Namibian had a season to forget a few months ago. Sales is expected to link up with his new teammates in Austria, where Sundowns have a pre-season camp. The Manqoba Mngqithi and Steve Komphela-led Sundowns will take on English Championship side Cardiff City on Tuesday.
Sekhukhune United has landed the highly-rated DR Congo striker Andy Boyeli from Zambian MTN Super League side Power Dynamos.
Boyeli’s agency announced the news on the X platform: “After much speculation, we are pleased to announce that Andy Bobwa Boyeli is a Sekhukhune United player. We would like to thank Power Dynamos for their professionalism during the transfer process.”
